GARAGE

I know, I know it has been ages, and the summer is now pretty much over. But we have been up to stuff, promise. The first of our highlights was David MacDairmid's architectural installation as part of the GARAGE exhibition hosted by Garage for the Edinburgh Arts Festival.  A beautiful almost ephemeral line sculpture that weaves it's way through from the interior of the exhibition space through the window and into the garden.
Presenting work since 2006, GARAGE invited a series of projects from selected artists that were researched, developed and then exhibited in August 2011. Selected UK-based international artists exhibited site-specific, collaborative work, developed during a series of micro-residencies including new work by Rebecca Key, Sarah Kenchington, Holly Fulton, Bob Moyler, Belinda Gilbert Scott, Ailie Rutherford, David MacDiarmid, Kirsten Welsh, Grimes & Jones, Sharon Quigley, Thomas MacGregor, Owen Davison, Kirsten Welsh, Jo Arksey, Christine Hilditch and Emma Bowen.

This year also featured The Pip Caravan, a magical mobile Puppet Theatre – from Sokobauno.
